Underworld: Evolution

I had watched the first part of this series on the recommendation of a friend. That movie had a lot of cool ideas, a neat look, and more action and violence than most action movies since werewolves and vampires can get better even after being shot twenty times. It wasn't a great movie but it was entertaining.

For the sequel, they still have the insane amount of shooting, the cool look, etc. but everything seems like the same thing all over again. The urgency of the first movie is gone because we've been here before and it seems like everyone from the first movie shows up again in this one (certainly they killed some of those guys). So this is nothing but a long shoot-em-up with lots of weird looking werewolves and monsters and the most impalements since Vlad. Kate Beckinsale is still great to look at, but her boyfriend is still too dopey and pretty looking. Everyone else just goes around with sharp, threatening diction, and all seem like variations of the same character.
