This is definitely one of those movies where most of the funny parts are in the previews. It’s still not hard to sit through, a take on Bing Crosby and Bob Hope’s classic Road movies, except this is a road through early history, somehow starting with cavemen and ending in biblical times. Some parts are funnier than others and while I don’t have a lot of patience for Jack Black, he is decent in this and somehow Michael Cera’s stammering usually cracks me up.
At this point the movie has been out for a while, so maybe you’ve forgotten the previews and can enjoy sitting through it. It is silly and juvenile, but kind of fun to watch.
