Puss in Boots is a spinoff from the Shrek series, but other than the main character, there is no real overlap here. Instead we learn the story of the great criminal cat, Puss, with other nursery rhyme characters like Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill, along with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. This is a good movie, with some interesting characters, and occasionally funny moments, but it is more of an action movie, almost like a Western. It isn’t outstanding, but it is fun and will keep your interest. It must have been made in 3D, but the version I watched was 2D.
