Manitou Springs
After Denver we went to Manitou Springs to see the sights including Pike's Peak and the Garden of the Gods. Susan had booked a very pretty bed and breafast called Victoria's Keep. We took the cog railway (you can see the cog rail in the picture below) to the top of Pike's Peak but it was very stormy that day.

The Garden of the Gods is called this because of the assortment of odd red rock formations, like a giant rock garden. You can drive around and see them and take short hikes to get closer. You can also see some interesting desert plants.
