I agree on the rainy day thing. This movie was a little too long and slow. When you start getting tired of the different episodes you still have a hundred years to go. At the same time it does sort of draw you in and I liked the way they kept (slowly) weaving in the modern story line which turns out to be just as interesting as anything in the past.
