Batman: Under the Red Hood 2010
B+
There are dozens of animated movies in the DC universe (up to 41 as I write this), but this is a fairly early one, number eight, released in 2010, and gets better reviews than most, despite the entire series being surprisingly strong. This movie is a little low on character development, with more than enough fights, but there is still a strong plot and a few twists and turns. A stand-alone movie, it has to supply most of its own backstory, so it feels more like a theatrical movie. It has a few layers to it which adds some complexity, taking advantage of the 75-minute running time to tell a more complex story, but also moving fairly quickly.
