Spectre 2015
I saw the first movie with Daniel Craig as James Bond, but somehow never saw the next two. My understanding is the second one was weak, but the third was good. I should have seen the third one first because apparently a lot happened. I had kind of low expectations with this movie, but I thought it was still pretty good, definitely entertaining.
In this installment, James Bond’s job is on the line, and in a very familiar way Bond is grounded after going it alone and causing too much collateral damage. In fact the whole top secret double nought program is on the chopping block in the age of Patriot Act style mega surveillance. There is a classic Bond villain in this movie who may well show up again. At first I thought Bond was going to stick to women his own age, but I should have realized that even as Bond gets older, Bond girls stay the same age. Aww right.
Spectre may not be a groundbreaking movie, but it is fun and worth watching.
