Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019
I was disappointed at the poor reception this movie received upon opening. While I liked The Last Jedi well enough, I was hoping for a return to form with J. J. Abrams directing again. Without giving anything away, I was happy with this movie. The movie mostly focuses on the same core of younger actors and resolves most of the mysteries and plot threads brought up in the earlier movies. There are plenty of action scenes, different locales, light saber fights, jedi mind tricks, and everything else we like about this series. I can see a few problem areas, but they aren’t of major concern (and could resolve themselves by rewatching). I may add spoilers later, but can’t really add much without giving things away.
