Twisters 2024
I wasn't in a rush to see this movie, but then decided it would be better to see it on a big screen if I was going to see it at all, and I think that was the right call. I don't remember much about the first movie and this isn't so much as just a similar movie with a focus on storm-chasing scientists, now using updated technology. It is a little by the numbers and acting performances aren't that great. Glenn Powell plays himself as a cocky YouTube storm chaser who it turns out isn't so bad. Yawn. The effects and action are still pretty good and maybe some of the science is believeable even as other things (in the spoilers) just aren't. There are some decent characters here and most are likeable enough, but the main draw is the storm footage and desctruction.
