Dog Man 2025

This animated movie from Dreamworks has gotten decent reviews and is based on a series of comic books about a half man half dog police officer. The animation style is fairly primitive looking in keeping with comic book and there is a lot of frenetic action. Occasionally there is a decent joke, but it doesn't seem like much is happening, just a bunch of cartoon action. Eventually a few of the characters actually develop and there is a decent ending, but there isn't much here for grown-ups. I was not familiar with the books, though it would probably help. This was a little disappointing. It opens with a short that might be a preview of another Bad Guys movie, but that was also kind of mindless action.
