Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker 2000

I never saw the animated TV series Batman Beyond where Bruce Wayne is an old man and a much younger guy is filling in. This is a spinoff direct-to-video movie of that series. It is a neat concept to have old characters and a new generation, but somehow Joker still works his way into the movie as the main villain. This movie predates the much larger series of movies that became the DC Animated Movie Universe, but enjoyed the same level of acclaim, not quite as violent and with no bad language. As a result this movie has a little less of an edge, but has enough neat concepts (especially for someone like me who hadn’t seen the TV series) that it is definitely worth watching.
