The Lego Movie was surprisingly good, spawning a number of spinoffs including the disappointing Lego Batman Movie in 2017. Even though the reviews said this movie was not as good as the original, I was hoping for some spark of the original movie’s quirkiness. Instead, this sequel has a lot of energy, but not much humor, with a predictable real world side. There are some new characters and a couple of songs, but it seems like the originality of the first movie is gone. This movie is still entertaining enough to watch, but not that great. The blu-ray has only a few extras.
